Job Title: Procurement Manager
Job Description:The Procurement team plays a critical role in managing a broad portfolio of vendors who provide essential services & components to our programs.
- Oversee the administration and management of all procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of services and products;
- Manage post-award vendor performance against KPIs, timelines, and contractual obligations;
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers/vendors;
- Advocate for change, provide clarity on expectations, and proactively address performance risks;
- Conduct risk assessments on vendor performance;
- Work closely with project managers, legal, finance and other departments to ensure the effective integration of procurement activities into overall project plans;
- Lead procurement negotiations, including terms, conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules;
- Provide regular status updates to senior management on procurement performance, risks and issues;
- Develop and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field;
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement management or purchasing, preferably within Defence;
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing contracts and vendor relationships;
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract law and procurement regulations;
- Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required;
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
