We are seeking enthusiastic students to participate in our internship program, offering hands-on experience in the transport industry.

As a V/Line intern, you will have the opportunity to engage with various teams, gaining valuable insights and skills that align with your career goals. Our dynamic environment is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and are eager to make a genuine difference.
Key Accountabilities- Participate in up to 120 hours of work experience across one or more teams, developing your skills and knowledge.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and contribute to team goals, showcasing your ability to adapt and grow.
- Uphold V/Line's core values in all interactions, ensuring a positive and respectful workplace culture.
We are looking for individuals who share our passion for delivering excellent customer service and are committed to community engagement. As a V/Line intern, you will be part of a collaborative team that values diversity and inclusivity.
To be eligible for this internship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Australian citizen and Victorian regional resident (includes temporarily living in metro areas for studies).
- Current enrolment as a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year student; master's candidates may be considered.
- Provide a signed work experience arrangement form from your university for insurance.
- Shortlisted applicants must pass a V/Line internship interview.
- Placement dates and hours will be negotiated; preferences may not be honoured.
We are seeking individuals who possess the following qualities:
- Foundational knowledge of their study and placement discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Previous work experience in customer service or knowledge of the rail industry (desirable).
- Demonstrated alignment to V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership, and human rights.
