Community Focused Customer Service Specialist

We are seeking a Customer Service Professional to join our team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer experiences across various channels and sites in our municipality.
You will be responsible for responding to inbound calls, representing the Council professionally and empathetically.
This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced contact centre environment, acting as a bridge between the community and Council services.
You will need to navigate complex queries and systems with confidence and efficiency, working shifts across our Customer and Library Service Centres.
As a successful candidate, you will be adaptable, community-focused, and ready to collaborate with stakeholders.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about customer service, enjoy solving problems, and work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Prior experience in a Call Centre is essential for this role.
The positions offer a competitive hourly rate commencing at $39.22 (Band 4), plus superannuation.
Mitchell Shire Council values child safety, and the successful applicant will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check prior to commencement.
We operate six days a week, from Monday to Saturday, and seek individuals with flexible availability to contribute to our dynamic team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with diverse community members, provide support with general enquiries or technology use, and assist with programs that benefit our youngest community members.
