Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled General Manager to lead our commercial team in achieving its strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of sustainable and effective commercial strategies
  • Lead and develop the commercial team, ensuring the commerciality of all projects and the ongoing sustainability of its portfolio
  • Undertake high level contract and tender reviews and provide authoritative advice to stakeholders on matters relating to commercial opportunities and risks associated
  • Provide regular management reports to Executive stakeholders against key measures and indicators
  • Support and lead the commercial team to negotiate contract terms and conditions with customers/subcontractors inline with the overarching commercial strategy

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce or Accounting
  • Demonstrated experience managing large portfolios and teams in similar Senior Commercial roles, gained on construction, engineering or associated industries
  • Expert skills in procedures for project contract administration, general business administration and project management
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of driving team output, developing/mentoring aspiring commercial leaders
  • Skills in quantitative and qualitative risk assessment and development of risk controls and actions involved in delivery and implementation of projects
  • Expert negotiation skills
  • Experience in interpreting contract clauses and drafting appropriate commercial clauses
