The Opportunity
A newly created role in our Melbourne office has become available. In this market-facing position, you will report directly to the Head of Australia Institutional Distribution and work closely with the distribution team to actively manage key investor relationships and develop new connections.
As part of a high-performing team, you will contribute to shaping the future business development and client engagement strategy, ensuring quality client relationships and delivering value where needs match capabilities. You will also play a central role in client interactions, working closely with colleagues to foster strong holistic relationships and valuable interactions. Your insights will contribute to delivering innovative investment solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Represent QIC with professionalism and authenticity, growing the network and presenting to management teams.
- Build strong relationships internally and externally to maximise effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure coordinated business development and relationship management.
- Champion client advocacy by seeking feedback and promoting the client voice internally.
- Develop and execute business activities, including campaigns and meetings.
- Actively manage and deepen client relationships by implementing tailored engagement plans and gathering intelligence.
- Serve as a primary escalation point for certain client issues and facilitate resolution.
- Foster delivery of commercial outcomes through various activities, including negotiation.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in institutional client and business development roles.
- Strong understanding of industry drivers, concepts, and processes.
- Relevant qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Marketing, Business, or related fields.
- Proven track record of working in a team to achieve revenue targets.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and commercial acumen.
- Proactive communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised and effective time management.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in investment and financial markets analysis.
- Effective negotiation and influential capabilities.
- Proficient user of CRM systems.
