As a Fire Safety Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a fire tower.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and support to range users and other customers as required.
  • Assist the Range Supervisor with site inspections, job analysis, and safety observations.
  • Ensure all customer complaints are addressed and feedback is provided in a timely manner.
  • Manage the operational activities of a fire tower, including maintenance and upkeep.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and independently to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Range Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ability to use specialized tools and equipment specific to range operations.
  • High level of experience in radio communication systems and navigation using maps and compasses.
  • Certificate in First Aid and ability to provide emergency response assistance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Security Clearance

Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1 (Secret) is mandatory. This requires Australian citizenship.
