Job Title: Fire Operations Specialist

Our organization is seeking a skilled Fire Operations Specialist to join our team. This role can be a stepping stone into a career in the Emergency Services and Defence Industry or the first step towards becoming a Firefighter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain operational readiness in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents as required and provide support and communications to Incident Controllers.
  • Assist the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) with administrative duties related to fire station operations.
  • Participate in Fire Station training and development plans.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Holding one of the following qualifications: Prevent Injury, Operate Communication Systems and Equipment, Work in a Team, Communicate in the Workplace, or Work Autonomously.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a communications room environment.

Other Requirements:

  • A strong focus on team orientation.
  • Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1.
  • As a result, the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen.
