The position of Kitchenhand at Lizard Island Resort offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our culinary team.

Job Description

This role is responsible for providing exceptional support to chefs and maintaining general cleanliness within the kitchen. The successful candidate will thrive in this environment if they possess experience in maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen space, are self-motivated and proactive, and hold food safety certification or are willing to obtain it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene to required standards
  • Support teams across all kitchens in the resort
  • Assist Chefs with basic food preparation

Kitchen Environment: As a Kitchenhand, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering high-quality results. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols, and supporting the culinary team in achieving their goals.

Candidate Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a strong attention to detail. You will also need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing situations.
