About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Engineer to join our team at Amazon, where you will play a crucial role in developing the next generation telecom infrastructure for our cloud contact center platform, Amazon Connect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain Amazon Connect's telecom infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Provide telecom expertise to drive business decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Lead and mentor other engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing.
  • Integrate new telephony providers to expand Amazon Connect's telecom infrastructure and enhance customer experience.
  • Work closely with automation teams to define tools that enable scalable solutions.
  • Produce and review documentation, process, and knowledge transfer materials related to telecom network implementation, deployments, and recurring issues.

Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in major internet routing protocols, Linux/Unix environment, and telecom network design, focused on SIP protocol, VoIP technologies, and telecom network operations.
  • 1+ years of automation scripting experience using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or Perl.
  • 4+ years of experience with open-source VoIP systems like Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, SIPp, SER, etc.
