
Policy Governance Specialist

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead policy and compliance initiatives that drive effective governance and operational excellence across the agency.
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and reviewing policy frameworks and compliance strategies, providing expert advice on legislative obligations, risk management, and regulatory best practice, and monitoring compliance activities and supporting internal audit and assurance processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and review policy frameworks and compliance strategies.
- Provide expert advice on legislative obligations, risk management, and regulatory best practice.
- Monitor compliance activities and support internal audit and assurance processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure policies are practical, effective, and aligned with agency objectives.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, and submissions for senior executives and government bodies.
- Demonstrated experience in policy development and compliance within government or regulatory settings.
- Strong knowledge of NSW Government legislative and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, public policy, governance, or a related field and/or relevant experience.
