**Policy Governance Specialist Role Overview**

This position involves leading the implementation, evolution, and monitoring of policies across an organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for modeling high-quality policy development and ownership for key compliance-related policies.

As a member of the Compliance Centre of Excellence Leadership team, you will lead the delivery of policy work and develop the strategic roadmap for governance. You will leverage agile methodologies to plan and communicate ongoing improvements.

Your effective contribution to the Compliance Team and the broader Risk Management function will be focused on collaboration and embedding a risk culture. The role is responsible for leading, managing, coaching, and developing the function, as well as actively and effectively developing direct and indirect reports.

Key responsibilities include driving consistent and sustainable implementation of the Group Policy Framework (GPF) and related policies and standards across the organization. You will oversee and challenge Policy Owners and Business Unit/Support Unit implementation of the GPF, provide guidance and advice on policy management and development best practices, and offer insights into current state versus best practice in peer organizations.

Additionally, this role will implement and embed policy framework improvements across the organization by gaining appropriate buy-in and sign-off and building excellent stakeholder relationships. You will also undertake analysis of the GPF and develop insights to support the L2 BU/SU reporting process, partnering with the Operational Risk and Compliance Crew and other stakeholders to develop, deliver, and enhance technology to support delivery of policies.
