Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee management and operations with integrity.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with community groups, governments, funding bodies, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the organisation as the public voice across media, events, forums, and public platforms.
  • Ensure financial stability, growth, and effective governance.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and cultural requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with the Board of Directors, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Develop a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed workplace culture.
  • Advocate passionately for Stolen Generations Survivors, their families, and descendants.
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership experience in community or not-for-profit sectors.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Business Administration, Community Services, or related fields.
  • Deep understanding of First Nations history and intergenerational trauma.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement, advocacy, strategic planning, governance, and financial oversight skills.
  • Experience working with trauma-informed care principles.
  • Background in organisational development or capacity building.
