Senior Legal Counsel Job Description

This is a dynamic and high-impact opportunity to shape and safeguard the legal framework underpinning our people practices.

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide strategic legal advice and support primarily to our People & Culture (P&C) team.

  • Provide strategic legal advice and support to the P&C team on employment and industrial relations matters, workplace investigations, policy and compliance, and enterprise agreement negotiations.
  • Advise on employment disputes, contract drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
  • Mentor junior legal staff and contribute to continuous improvement within the Legal & Risk function.

Key Requirements:

  • 8+ years post-qualification legal experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house environment, with a strong background in employment and industrial relations law.
  • Bachelor of Laws and an unrestricted QLD Practising Certificate (or eligibility to obtain one immediately).
  • Proven experience advising on workplace law, enterprise bargaining, workplace investigations, and employment disputes.
