Environmental Sustainability Role

We are seeking an Environmental Advisor to manage environmental compliance at our airport. This role involves implementing and overseeing tenant and contractor environmental management programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular inspections, audits, and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and our Environmental Management System (EMS). They will also review and assess Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) for development and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and oversee tenant and contractor environmental management programs.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and monitoring activities to ensure compliance.
  • Review and assess EMPs for development and operational activities.
  • Manage environmental monitoring programs.
  • Investigate and respond to environmental incidents.
  • Deliver environmental inductions and training.
  • Maintain accurate databases, records, and regulatory reporting.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or related discipline.
  • Experience in implementing or working with EMS (ISO 14001 or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with inspections, audits, and environmental monitoring.
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage priorities and projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
