About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of families and children.

As a Project and Program Support Specialist, you will be involved in the planning, co-facilitation, and implementation of existing programs, their delivery and impact.

You will require strong communication skills, ability to build rapport, and be extremely organized.

The successful candidate will have experience in group work and facilitation, and will be able to deliver a suite of programs to a diverse community.

This is a Maximum Term (Maternity Leave Cover) Contract, working 7.5 hours per week, with the days of work negotiable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordination and delivery of group programs across all service delivery areas
  • Planning and managing group resources
  • Conducting Intake and Assessment of clients for group suitability
  • Ensuring program and client documents are up to date and current
  • Conducting client and project evaluations & reporting
  • Participating in regional team meetings and events, as well as attending relevant external meetings and events as required
  • Regular consultation with Regional Manager and Program Coordinator regarding delivery of services to meet local need and funded program requirements
  • Providing Administrative & coordination support for client focused work, inputting of data into systems

Requirements
  • Diploma in Case Management, Community Services/Welfare, social work, social science or related discipline
  • Group planning, facilitation experience, and group resource management
  • Experience in working with vulnerable and diverse clients
  • Experience in maintaining client records
  • Networking, promotion and project management experience
  • Previous experience in a not-for-profit community organisation or other client service environment
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly developed administrative and organisational skills; including competency in Microsoft Office products
