
Environmental Compliance Specialist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to oversee environmental compliance during the construction phase of energy projects.
This role requires meticulous oversight by an individual stationed in the field throughout construction to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental training programs for construction personnel
- Conduct site inspections, monitoring, and field survey work as directed
- Interact with regulatory agency staff, landowners, contractors, clients, and project stakeholders
- Review and implement project documents, providing direction and support on environmental compliance issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of environmental inspection, monitoring, or permitting experience specific to linear and/or other energy infrastructure projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Proficient technical skills, including experience using Microsoft Office programs and digital cameras
- Knowledge of environmental sampling methods
Educational Background and Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, ecology, biology, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, an equivalent amount of experience in environmental inspection or monitoring can be considered. Relevant certifications and licenses may also be beneficial.
