About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Marketing Director to lead our Platypus brand across Australia and New Zealand.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for Platypus, driving brand health and awareness across both countries.
  2. Lead a team of 4 professionals, including Brand & Content Marketing Manager, Retail Marketing Assistant, and Brand & Content Marketing Assistant, ensuring effective collaboration and high-quality output.
  3. Maintain strong relationships with brand partners, driving business growth and revenue through strategic partnerships.
  4. Manage the Platypus marketing budget, optimizing ROI and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  5. Drive social media presence and engagement across all platforms, showcasing the Platypus brand's unique personality and values.
  6. Nurture internal stakeholder relationships, delivering key outcomes and insights that inform business decisions.
  7. Foster strong relationships with the retail team, meeting their needs and executing in-store activations that drive sales and customer loyalty.
  8. Partner with external agencies and influencers to develop and implement a robust PR strategy, securing media coverage and amplifying the Platypus brand's reach.
  9. Oversee content creation across all channels, ensuring brand continuity and consistency.
  10. Brief and direct creative requirements with internal teams, ensuring innovative and effective campaigns that drive results.
  11. Design, own, and execute key campaigns and events from start to finish, measuring success and reporting on key metrics.
What We're Looking For
  • A minimum of 2+ years' experience as a Head of Marketing or equivalent role.
  • Strong background in multi-branded businesses, although not essential.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of effectively conveying ideas and strategies.
  • A deep understanding of retail branding, with a passion for creating engaging experiences that drive customer loyalty.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on utilizing data-driven insights to inform marketing decisions.
  • An organized and detail-oriented approach, with a strong ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A positive attitude, passion, and enthusiasm for the role, combined with a willingness to learn and grow with the company.
  • Experience managing direct reports, with a focus on developing and empowering team members to achieve their full potential.
Salary Range:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
