Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist

Overview:

As a key professional in our Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH) team, you will play a vital role in delivering community-based mental health care to children and young people aged 5–18 and their families.

You will work closely with young people and their support networks, providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to strengthen relationships across home, school and community, and empowering families to improve mental health outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of family systems and ability to work therapeutically with families to improve mental health outcomes for children and young people.

They will also have demonstrated skills to apply professional knowledge and skills in a complex child and youth mental health setting, including evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in psychology or occupational therapy, with current registration with AHPRA, or social work and eligibility for membership of AASW.
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Understanding of family systems and ability to work therapeutically with families.
