In this role, you'll have a unique opportunity to support workers with injuries across various schemes, including WorkCover, Department of Veterans Affairs, Motor Vehicle Accident Schemes, and Comcare portfolios. You'll work with clients from diverse industries, such as transport, agriculture, government, construction, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, and professional services.

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you'll use your clinical reasoning skills to support people who have sustained physical and/or psychological injuries or illnesses, returning to and recovering at work. Your duties will include:

  • Conducting assessments, such as Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, Functional Capacity Evaluations, Activities of Daily Living Assessments, and Vocational Assessments
  • Attending medical case conferences
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including injured workers, insurers, employers, and medical and allied health professionals
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes and develop evidence-based recovery and return-to-work plans
  • Case management and report writing

What will make you successful?

  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA, or AASW)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, or Osteopathy
  • Strong clinical reasoning
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal
  • Passion to help people recover
