Occupational Rehabilitation Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team as an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with workplace injuries or health conditions to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Case management and coordination of services to ensure effective rehabilitation outcomes;
  • Conducting assessments and developing treatment plans to address psychosocial barriers to employment;
  • Collaborating with employers, employees, medical professionals, and allied health experts to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Providing vocational assessments and support to identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents;
  • Completing a range of assessments using your clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences, or Rehabilitation Counselling;
  • General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors ASORC;
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills, compassion, kindness, and empathy;
  • Well-developed time management skills and a current NSW Driver's License with comprehensive insurance.
