Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team at IPAR, a national occupational rehabilitation provider. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with illnesses, disabilities, or injuries to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

Our team of experienced healthcare professionals includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists, and Rehabilitation Counsellors.

Key Responsibilities

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will be responsible for providing case management services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological. Your duties will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing treatment plans to support clients in achieving return to health and return to work outcomes.
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Providing occupational rehabilitation services across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences, or Rehabilitation Counselling.
  • General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors ASORC.
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry.
  • Fabulous communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy when working with clients.
  • Well-developed time management skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
