This role offers flexibility, with 1-2 days of work from home each week, and an office conveniently located in Adelaide CBD.

Job Overview

This Payroll Operations Specialist role is responsible for front-end payroll functions, as the actual payroll processing is handled by a vendor. Key duties include:

  • Software & Systems: Accurately enter timesheet data into the system and interpret digital timesheets.
  • Payroll Management: Manage relevant payroll activities for fortnightly and monthly paid employees, ensuring timely distribution of payslips.
  • Calculations: Verify and input payroll data, including calculations for overtime, penalties, leave entitlements, allowances, and deductions.
  • Reconciliation: Identify and correct errors before final processing.
  • Leave Management: Process all leave applications and prepare associated reporting.
  • Compliance: Understand and apply EBA provisions, awards, legislation, contract terms, and tax regulations.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have a minimum 5 years of payroll experience, advanced Excel skills, and expertise with time and attendance systems. You should be well-organized, meticulous, and possess strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have a $65,000 - $80,000 per annum salary range, depending on experience.
