REO Group is seeking a Payroll Operations Specialist to join their rapidly growing team.

As a Payroll Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of payroll and liaising with internal and external stakeholders on pay-related matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing weekly and fortnightly payrolls, meeting deadlines
  • Ensuring accurate recording of information in the payroll system
  • Maintaining payroll records, collaborating with HR to update employee departments and shifts
  • Addressing staff and management queries regarding payroll
  • Managing leave records, preventing negative balances and ensuring policy compliance
  • Interpreting awards/agreements and contracts to ensure payroll compliance and risk mitigation
  • Meeting internal and statutory payroll reporting obligations
  • Administering payroll efficiently
  • Calculating and handling termination payments
  • Assisting Senior Payroll Officer and Group Payroll Manager with month-end processes
  • Continuously seeking improvement in work processes

The ideal candidate will have experience using payroll-related ERP systems and a high attention to detail. They will naturally engage in best practice and thrive working in a role where they can seek out process improvements and manage future system implementations to ensure the payroll function runs seamlessly.

Competitive salary up to $90,000 + Super - Based on Experience
