Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Animation Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for creating high-quality animation with convincing performances and motion.

Key Responsibilities
  • To collaborate with the head of animation, supervisors and fellow animators to create believable animation with convincing performances and motion.
  • To complete digi-double, creature, character or rigid body animation within project schedules.
  • To deliver work to strict deadlines and manage schedules to meet goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in computer-generated (CG) animation within high-end live action visual effects (VFX) feature films.
  • The ability to perform visual and analytical problem-solving in 3-dimensional space, including the ability to accurately interpret 3D layouts and analyze 3D form.
  • Thorough knowledge of Maya and proficiency in its various tools and features.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and predicting potential problems with assigned tasks and issues coming from other departments.
  • The ability to support leads and supervisors.
  • Experience mentoring junior artists.
  • Proven experience in proactively finding creative solutions within the bounds of the shots.
  • The ability to contribute to the pipeline and team by bringing improvements and overarching methodologies to better the department.
  • A showcase of exceptional, highly detailed, high-end live action VFX animation work including hero creatures, hero digi-doubles and detailed high-level performance showing instances of flying, bipedal, vehicle and use of motion capture.
