Senior Animation Position

The role of Senior Animator involves collaborating with a team of experienced professionals to create high-quality animation. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for mentoring junior artists and contributing to the development of the animation pipeline.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality animation work on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Troubleshoot and predict potential problems with assigned tasks and issues coming from other departments
  • Contribute to the development of the pipeline and team by suggesting improvements and methodologies
  • Mentor junior artists and support Leads and Supervisors

Requirements:

  • 6+ years CG animation experience in high-end live-action VFX feature films
  • Strong knowledge of Maya and proficiency in visual and analytical problem-solving in 3-dimensional space
  • Ability to accurately interpret 3D layouts and analyze 3D form
  • Well-versed in the principles of animation and able to work well in a team environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with realistic and stylized facial animation using Maya and MEL scripting languages
  • Tool development and shooting Mocap material using Moven Mocap suit
