Job Overview

The Practice Partner plays a pivotal role in driving the State's practice uplift agenda.

This hands-on position involves coaching and supporting centre teams to strengthen teaching and learning practices, including for children with additional needs.

The Practice Partner will provide guidance on all aspects of quality Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC), ensuring nationally consistent and targeted teaching and learning support.

  • Coach and support centre teams to improve teaching and learning practices.
  • Work directly with selected centres to deliver their Quality Improvement Plan actions.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of the QRS, NQS, EYLF and other approved learning frameworks across the state.
  • Maintain currency and expert knowledge of relevant guidelines and Australian ECEC practice.
  • Collaborate with the Teaching and Learning team to identify and implement key practice uplift initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide high-quality advice and coaching support for teaching and learning.
  2. Work directly with centres to deliver Quality Improvement Plan actions.
  3. Support the implementation of learning frameworks across the state.
  4. Maintain expert knowledge of relevant guidelines and ECEC practice.
  5. Collaborate with the Teaching and Learning team to identify and implement key initiatives.
What You'll Bring:
  • A Bachelor's degree in early childhood education from a recognised university.
  • Extensive practice-based early childhood teacher education experience.
  • A strong understanding of A&R process and Exceeding Themes.
  • Experience delivering high-quality training to centre-based teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, evaluation and team leadership skills.
