Our Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Delivery Program Manager to join our Maintenance Services team in Fortitude Valley. As a key member of our Operations and Maintenance group, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient supply of water services to our customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a range of critical activities, including maintenance program management, effective scheduling and dispatch of maintenance work orders, and understanding the cost of delivering maintenance. Your performance will be measured through Urban Utilities' critical outcomes, focusing on providing a safe environment, protecting public health, protecting the environment, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and minimizing costs in the long run.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead improvement initiatives across the maintenance value chain.
  • Effectively coordinate the maintenance program.
  • Analyze asset and maintenance data to identify opportunities for improving maintenance programs.
  • Develop maintenance cost intelligence to inform investment decision-making.
  • Partner with internal and external maintenance delivery partners.
  • Provide effective governance over maintenance, planning, schedule, and dispatch activities.
  • Lead a maintenance program delivery office effectively.
About You
  • You hold a degree in engineering, science, business, or equivalent experience.
  • You possess asset management qualifications or experience (highly regarded).
  • You have proven ability to manage complex programs of work.
  • You've worked in collaborative contracting to achieve customer outcomes.
  • You're proficient in asset management frameworks/tools such as ISO 55000, PAS 55, IIMM, GIS, Maximo, SAP, or Ellipse.
  • You understand water utility operations and regulatory requirements.
  • You have expertise in developing asset management strategies for complex systems.
  • You can translate technical concepts into clear business insights.
  • You're skilled in balancing maintenance, capital, commercial, customer, and performance priorities.
  • You have leadership experience in cross-functional teams delivering critical functions.
  • You've proven success in fostering a safety-focused and collaborative culture.
