Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services invites applications for a General Practitioner to join their team in Kutjungka, WA. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated doctor to provide comprehensive primary health care services to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander clients and families.

The role involves working on a FIFO basis (four weeks on, eight weeks off) living in a modern, furnished unit in the Balgo Community. As part of a multidisciplinary remote clinic team, you will deliver vital healthcare services to remote Indigenous communities and contribute to Closing the Gap in Aboriginal health.

Requirements
  • A fully qualified General Practitioner who has, or is eligible for, full registration with AHPRA.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work within remote Aboriginal communities and provide care to patients in a culturally appropriate manner.

While previous experience working in remote areas or with Aboriginal communities is not essential, it would be advantageous. What is key is your willingness to work within these communities and adapt to the challenges that come with delivering healthcare in a unique environment.
