Primary Care Professional

We are seeking an experienced healthcare professional to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering comprehensive primary care services. This role involves working closely with Aboriginal health workers, registered nurses and allied health professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, effective communication skills and a passion for working with Aboriginal communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary healthcare services at remote clinic sites and headspace Broome, including emergency care and telehealth clinics.
  • Contribute to quality assurance initiatives and support the improvement of clinical practices.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in community health programs and contribute to clinical leadership within the organisation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current AHPRA registration with no conditions.
  • Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM).
  • Experience in managing emergencies in remote settings and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of Aboriginal culture and effective communication skills with Aboriginal people.
