Remote Primary Healthcare Specialist

The Kimberley region is a vast and remote area, offering a unique opportunity for a General Practitioner to make a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal communities. This role involves hands-on work, providing comprehensive primary health care services to clients and families. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified General Practitioner who has, or is eligible for, full registration with AHPRA.
About the OpportunityAs a General Practitioner with KAMS, you will have the opportunity to work on a FIFO basis (working 4 weeks on, 8 weeks off), living in a modern, furnished unit in the Balgo Community. This role involves working within remote Aboriginal communities and providing care to patients in a culturally appropriate manner.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and team player, able to work effectively within KAMS's pre-existing structures of governance as part of a multidisciplinary team of Doctors, Aboriginal Health Workers, Registered Nurses, Health Promotion Workers, and Allied Health Professionals.
What You Will GainThis is a highly rewarding opportunity to provide vital healthcare services to remote Indigenous communities and help 'Close the Gap' in Aboriginal health. As a valued member of the team, you will be rewarded with a competitive base salary package, plus super and an availability and call-out payment at 25% of your base salary.
