Are you a compassionate and empathetic individual looking to make a positive impact in the lives of others? Do you have a strong background in social work, psychology, or case work?

We are seeking a skilled Coach to deliver our ReachOut Parents One-on-one Support Program, a national service that provides free support to parents and caregivers to build their skills and confidence in supporting their teens who may be experiencing mental health issues.

The program uses a virtual service delivery model to deliver up to 4 sessions to clients over the phone and online. Our Coaches use coaching tools through the ReachOut Parents dashboard to support clients to identify ways to support and strengthen their relationship with their teen.

Duties:

  • Provide practical skill building parenting support to promote individual and family wellbeing and functioning
  • Link parents and young people with clinical and other support services or community activities that may be helpful in reducing the factors associated with risk of mental illness
  • Ensure that all administrative requirements are met in accordance with our standards including clinical record keeping, data gathering and evaluation

Skill Requirements:

  • A relevant degree qualification
  • Experience identifying and addressing child protection concerns using a strengths-based approach
  • Experience delivering counselling, family support and/ or coaching and mentoring with parents
  • Knowledge of mental health, family functioning, effective parenting techniques and strategies
  • To be technically savvy with the ability to work within a virtual service delivery model
