We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Parent/Carer Mentor on a full-time basis.

**Job Description:**

Provide individualized mentorship to parents, offering support and guidance on various parenting challenges.

Assist parents/carers to overcome barriers and empower them with the skills to achieve their individual employment and/or educational goals.

Facilitate workshops and group sessions on topics relevant to parent challenges.

Develop and implement engaging educational materials and resources.

Foster a safe and supportive environment for parents to collaborate with community organisations and resources.

Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, providing feedback for continuous improvement.

**Key Responsibilities Include:*

  • Providing one-on-one support to parents.
  • Empowering parents to overcome obstacles.
  • Facilitating workshops and training sessions.
  • Developing educational materials and resources.
  • Creating a safe and supportive environment.

**Ideal Candidate Profile:**

- Personal lived experience in parenting or family support, along with relevant professional experience.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse families.

- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Familiarity with community resources and support systems is beneficial.

- Precision in documentation and case management to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Proficient in technology.

- Completed or working towards a Certificate III or above in a related field; or tertiary level qualifications related to education, social services, counselling, case management, psychology, community services, careers guidance.

- Current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one.
