Senior Natural Hazard Modelling Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to contribute to the financial resilience of our organisation by supporting the development and delivery of modelling processes across natural hazards and reinsurance.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, as well as proficiency in Excel and experience with SQL, SAS, or similar tools.

About the Role
  • Develop and maintain modelling processes for budgeting and optimisation
  • Prepare, validate, and manage data used in modelling
  • Support the delivery of technical outputs within agreed timeframes
  • Contribute to the automation and improvement of analytical workflows
  • Collaborate with external consultants on data delivery and modelling inputs
  • Build effective relationships with internal teams to understand and support business needs
Your Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Experience in general insurance or financial services preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow
  • Familiarity with Python or other programming languages desirable
