About the Role

Contribute to enhancing financial resilience by supporting modelling processes for natural hazards and reinsurance.

This role offers a strong foundation for career progression and technical development, working within the Capital & Investments team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful outputs.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining modelling processes for natural hazard budgeting and reinsurance optimisation, preparing, validating, and managing data used in natural hazard and reinsurance modelling, delivering technical outputs to internal stakeholders within agreed timeframes, contributing to the automation and improvement of analytical workflows, and collaborating with external consultants and brokers on data delivery and modelling inputs.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics are essential.
  • Experience in general insurance or financial services is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail are required.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with SQL, SAS, or similar tools are necessary.
  • Familiarity with Python or other programming languages is desirable.
