As a Natural Hazard & Reinsurance Modelling Advisor, you'll contribute to the financial strength of Suncorp by delivering high-quality modelling and insights across natural perils and reinsurance.
You'll work within the Capital & Investments team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support budgeting, reinsurance program design and allocation.

What You'll Do Design, maintain, and enhance modelling processes for natural hazard budgeting, reinsurance program optimisation and allocation Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely preparation of data used in natural hazard and reinsurance modelling Deliver technical modelling outputs and insights to stakeholders within agreed timeframes and quality standards Identify and implement opportunities to improve, automate, and simplify modelling and analytical workflows Collaborate with external consultants and reinsurance brokers to validate data and modelling results Build strong relationships with internal teams to ensure modelling advice aligns with evolving business needs What You'll Bring 5+ years experience in financial services, ideally with exposure to general insurance Strong analytical and statistical skills with attention to detail Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, and SAS; Python experience desirable Excellent communication and business writing skills Ability to manage small to medium projects independently Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics Near-completion or recently qualified Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries Australia (or equivalent) desired What You'll Enjoy A range of flexible working and leave options, including 20 weeks paid parental leave, 4 weeks paid secondary carer parental leave and unlimited paid emergency response leave Discounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as insurance products Give back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leave Invest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programs; and Prioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee council Explore our full benefits: At Suncorp, we believe our strength lies in the diversity, talent, and passion of our people.
