We are seeking a Natural Hazard & Reinsurance Modelling Senior Analyst to support the financial resilience of Suncorp through the development and delivery of modelling processes related to natural hazards and reinsurance.
This role is within the Capital & Investments team, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely outputs.
It offers a solid foundation for career growth and technical development.
Responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining modelling processes for natural hazard budgeting and reinsurance optimization Preparing, validating, and managing data used in natural hazard and reinsurance modelling Supporting the delivery of technical outputs to internal stakeholders within agreed timeframes Contributing to automation and improvement of analytical workflows Collaborating with external consultants and brokers on data delivery and modelling inputs Building effective relationships with internal teams to understand and support business needs Fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment Qualifications and experience: Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics Experience in general insurance or financial services is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Proficiency in Excel and experience with SQL, SAS, or similar tools Familiarity with Python or other programming languages is desirable Good communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow What you'll enjoy: Flexible working options and leave entitlements, including paid parental leave, secondary carer leave, and emergency response leave Discounts on retail stores and insurance products Community engagement through payroll giving, donation matching, and paid volunteer leave Ongoing study support and career development programs Work-life balance support via employee assistance programs and employee councils Explore our full benefits.
