Job Description

The role of Strategic Portfolio Manager is a critical position within the Lifelong Learning portfolio, responsible for driving operational efficiency and strategic growth.

This involves overseeing administrative, commercial, and human resources functions to ensure seamless operations and alignment with organisational objectives. Close collaboration with faculties and divisional teams is essential to optimise workflows and resource allocation.

A key aspect of this role is to support the development and launch of new initiatives, ensuring sustainable expansion of the portfolio. The successful applicant will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and influencing abilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary-level qualification in a relevant discipline, preferably with postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of higher-education administrative practices and university governance frameworks.
  • Experience developing and implementing project plans, including evaluation and monitoring progress.
  • High-level organisational skills, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to negotiate and consult widely with stakeholders.
