About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Family Practitioner in Western Australia. In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for promoting healthy family functioning, including safety from violence, overall safety, stability and the development of Aboriginal children.

This is a unique opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of Aboriginal women, children and families who are impacted by family violence. You will work closely with our experienced team to develop and implement strategies that address the complex needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote healthy family functioning and safety from violence
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase stability and strengthen connections to Aboriginal culture, community and family networks
  • Work collaboratively with our team to achieve outcomes that improve the lives of Aboriginal women, children and families

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience working in family services & family violence case management or a closely related sector
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Comprehensive understanding of the dynamics and impact of family violence in Aboriginal families across the community
  • Knowledge of State and Regional Aboriginal family violence strategies and frameworks
