The Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Director to join our team and play a key role in driving our financial strategy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will report directly to the CEO and work closely with our Partners to oversee a range of accounting activities and ensure the financial control requirements of the business are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage monthly practice management accounts, reporting, and variance analysis
  • Oversee the group's financial statements on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Produce performance, consolidated, and divisional reports with analytical reviews
  • Prepare the firm's budget, including Profit & Loss, Cashflow, and Balance Sheet
  • Monitor finances and cash flow, including WIP and Debtors days
  • Develop strategic initiatives to streamline operations and boost profitability
  • Manage creditor payments in line with cashflow
  • Liaise with banks regarding firm borrowings and financing needs
  • Assist the CEO in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities
  • Handle practice insurance, including management liability, ISR, and public liability
Requirements:
  • CA/CPA qualification and a relevant degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 15+ years of experience leading internal finance teams, preferably in professional services
  • Strong technical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Experience in building offshore finance capabilities
  • Dynamic attitude with a proactive approach to servicing colleagues and clients
  • Mentorship skills to actively develop and grow the team
  • Ability to take ownership and initiative in driving results
  • Client-centric with exceptional people management skills, committed to driving business development and ensuring effective business operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Power
