About Us

LegalVision is a pioneering force in the commercial legal services sector, committed to empowering businesses with proactive, affordable, and commercially savvy legal support. Our mission revolves around delivering cutting-edge solutions that propel business success.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished lawyer to join our thriving Franchising team as a Practice Leader.

Our seasoned Franchising lawyers have worked extensively with hundreds of franchisors, both Australian and international, to foster their Australian franchise networks. We provide comprehensive assistance with establishing franchise systems, drafting and negotiating franchise grants, renewals, and surrenders. Additionally, we assist clients with franchise buybacks and sales, franchising-related disputes, and other commercial legal matters. To ensure varied work, you will also contribute to some Intellectual Property cases.

The successful candidate will showcase exceptional technical expertise in franchise law, effective project management skills, and outstanding client service abilities. As a Practice Leader, you will be responsible for managing a small team of talented lawyers, ensuring they remain engaged and productive.

The Ideal Candidate
  • At least 4 years of experience from a reputable law firm or busy in-house team;
  • Demonstrated franchising law expertise advising franchisors on ACL and Franchising Code of Conduct obligations;
  • Broad commercial and consumer law knowledge;
  • A genuine enthusiasm for coaching and developing direct reports and other team members;
  • A strong desire to collaborate closely with clients daily and possess a can-do attitude;
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to think critically;
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills;
  • The capacity to take ownership of day-to-day transactions;
  • Strong drafting skills (e.g., franchising/commercial/business law documents, as well as articles for our website); and
  • A strong inclination towards involvement in broader business development activities within and outside the office.
What We Offer
  • A fast-paced NewLaw environment with minimal hierarchy and no corporate red tape.
  • Talented and energetic team members across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
  • An annual budget for external learning opportunities.
  • Up to 25 days of paid annual leave per year, as well as paid birthday leave, volunteering leave, and parental leave.
