Job Overview

The successful candidate will work closely with the DC Policy Platform core team to provide governance, specialist consultancy, and solutions to project delivery and support teams. They will be responsible for documenting current and future state processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and working collaboratively with delivery teams and stakeholders to gather, validate, and document business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently.
  • Work collaboratively with delivery teams and stakeholders to gather, validate, and document business requirements.
  • Create detailed user stories (in JIRA) to support delivery.
  • Document Technical design, Functional and Non-Functional Requirements, PL101 completion, Policy Data Model updates, Interface/Integration mapping, Migration Mapping, Technical support documentation & Knowledge Bases.
  • Mentor/train team members; participate and contribute to Business Analyst chapter and/or forums providing insights and thought leadership.
Requirements
  • MUST HAVE worked on 2 Duck Creek Policy Administration System (PAS) implementations (ideally Asia-PAC experience).
  • IDEALLY HAVE 5 years working experience on the Duck Creek PAS.
  • MUST HAVE Duck Creek Policy functional and technical knowledge and experience documenting requirements through PL101's.
  • IDEALLY HAVE worked 1 Duck Creek on Demand (DCOD) project.
  • IDEALLY HAVE a strong understanding of Duck Creek standards and best practices, and of Duck Creek's inheritance model.
  • Training and certification in Duck Creek university and related certification desired.
  • Minimum 5 years technical business analysis experience in a project/delivery orientated role; from a large organisation.
  • Minimum 3 years' Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation.
  • Working in the General Insurance space.
  • Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference.
  • Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines.
