Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behaviour Support Specialist to join our Positive Behaviour Support division. As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing clinical services to NDIS participants aged 0-65, working across early intervention, school age, adolescent and adult services.
Your primary responsibility will be to assess and observe participants' challenging behaviours, working towards increasing skills, improving emotion regulation and introducing replacement behaviours to reduce the use of restrictive practices. You will develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans, collaborating with allied health practitioners, support workers and family members to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and observe participants' challenging behaviours
- Develop and implement PBS plans
- Collaborate with allied health practitioners, support workers and family members
- Work towards increasing skills, improving emotion regulation and introducing replacement behaviours
- Qualifications in Psychology, Counselling, Behaviour Analysis, Teaching, Social Work, Social Sciences, Criminology, Childhood Education & Care, Health Science, Allied Health or Nursing
- NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner (or the ability to become registered)
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses (desirable)
- A car and licence
- A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or able to get one for a client facing role (or willingness to obtain one before commencement)
