Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) professional to join our team in Australia. As an HSE Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance and advice on our HSE management system, risk assessments, project HSE documentation, and tools, as well as emergency response processes.
  • Support injury and claims management, liaising with employees, managers, and insurers to ensure a safe return to work following injury or illness.
  • Champion a proactive HSE learning culture by engaging with teams to understand daily safety practices, identifying successful adaptations, and encouraging feedback to improve systems and controls.
  • Support the understanding and implementation of critical HSE controls, monitoring compliance and driving continuous improvement.
  • Analyze incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and working with the business to determine suitable corrective actions.
  • Share HSE knowledge, keeping teams informed and empowered with the latest insights.
Requirements:
  • You should have experience in HSE or a similar risk-focused role, ideally within a comparable industry.
  • A strong background in managing workers compensation claims return to work plans is essential.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail, are also necessary.
  • Teamwork and relationship-building skills are crucial, fostering collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Technical HSE expertise, including training, auditing, and investigation capabilities, is highly desirable.
  • A Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety is required, with Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator (RRTWC) certification being highly desirable.
