Our Rail Safety Management team is seeking a highly experienced professional to ensure the safety and efficiency of our rail network.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives to support safety processes. They will be responsible for maintaining oversight of safety assurance activities by contracted entities, as well as preparing and presenting regular reports on safety assurance and management activities to leadership teams.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience working on large rail or major infrastructure projects.
  • ICAM lead investigator qualifications (desired).
  • Internal Auditor qualifications (desired).
  • Experience working with relevant WHS acts, regulations, codes of practice, guidelines, and AS/ISO standards.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively plan, implement, and manage safety activities, and to provide strategic advice to senior management.
