Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Debt Origination to join our origination team based in Sydney, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, arranging, and transacting project finance opportunities, working closely with arranging banks, advisors, private equity developers, and funds, as well as key stakeholders in the borrower community.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with arranging banks, advisors, private equity developers, and funds.
  2. Structure and negotiate project finance deals, including term sheets, loan agreements, intercreditor/subordination agreements, purchase and sale agreements, etc.
  3. Help develop, grow, and manage a pipeline and backlog of deals to meet or exceed business targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a financial background.
  • Minimum 5 years' transactional experience, with at least 2-3 years' experience in the Australian market and preferably already based in Sydney.
  • Good commercial understanding and awareness of the Australian finance industry in context of project and structured finance debt.
  • Previous experience in involvement, negotiation, and execution of project and structured finance transactions as part of a deal team.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
