Job Summary

As a key member of the Royal Bank of Canada's Asia Pacific Finance team, this Strategic Finance Director role will play a pivotal part in driving the bank's finance strategy and transformation initiatives within the region. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the APAC CFO to create, drive, and deliver finance programs that meet the bank's objectives.

This is a unique chance for a seasoned finance professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to shaping the bank's finance strategy in Asia Pacific. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, drive business growth, and develop their leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction to the Head of Finance, Malaysia, and the APAC COE
  • Collaborate with the CFO APAC and platform controllers to drive finance strategy and transformation initiatives
  • Develop and implement finance programs that meet the bank's objectives
  • Partner with Enterprise teams to contribute to global strategy and ensure seamless execution

What You'll Need:

  • Significant experience in managing finance teams in Wholesale Markets and Wealth Management businesses
  • Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of applicable reporting and accounting standards
  • CA or CPA accounting qualification and business analysis experience
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to execute and drive change
