Project Finance Director for Debt Origination

At Siemens Financial Services, we are seeking a seasoned Project Finance Director to join our Sydney-based origination team. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in project and structured finance to drive business growth and success.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in debt origination, particularly in the Australian market. As a Project Finance Director, you will be responsible for identifying, structuring, and executing project finance opportunities across various sectors, including energy, infrastructure, and nascent technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with arranging banks, advisors, private equity developers, and funds, as well as key stakeholders in the borrower community.
  • Provide expert advice on deal structuring, credit, and legal matters related to structured finance.
  • Evaluate and negotiate loan documentation, including term sheets, loan agreements, intercreditor/subordination agreements, purchase and sale agreements, etc.
  • Help develop, grow, and manage a pipeline and backlog of deals to meet or exceed business targets.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, preferably with a financial background.
  • Minimum 5 years of transactional experience, with at least 2-3 years in the Australian market, and preferably already based in Sydney.
  • Strong commercial understanding and awareness of the Australian finance industry, particularly in context of project and structured finance debt.
  • Knowledge of the Energy & Infrastructure Sectors, and potentially experience in nascent technologies such as Battery Energy Storage, Datacenters, and Electromobility.
  • Previous experience in involvement, negotiation, and execution of project and structured finance transactions as part of a deal team.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
