Our Team and Role
SFS Project and Structured Finance Debt-EA (SFS PS EA) provides structured debt finance for European, Middle East, African, and Asia-Australian regions. We are looking for an Associate Director, Debt Origination, with project and structured finance knowledge in the Australian market to join our origination team in Sydney. You will identify, arrange, and transact project finance opportunities, working in a highly motivated culture that focuses on customers and best practices.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop relationships with arranging banks, advisors, private equity developers, and/or funds, as well as key stakeholders in the borrower community.
- Develop suitable skills in deal structuring, credit, and legal expertise related to structured finance, and experience in negotiation/evaluation of loan documentation.
- Help develop, grow, and manage a pipeline and backlog of deals to meet business targets, and serve Siemens Business Companies and their customers with targeted debt solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a financial background.
- Minimum 5 years transactional experience with at least 2-3 years' experience in the Australian market and preferably based in Sydney.
- Knowledge of the Energy & Infrastructure Sectors, and potentially experience in nascent technologies such as Battery Energy Storage, Datacenters, and Electromobility, including knowledge of key players, market dynamics, and business mechanics.
- Previous experience in involvement, negotiation, and execution of project and structured finance transactions as part of a deal team, with participation in successful deals in the past 3 years.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Medium amount of traveling required.
