Operations Manager

A dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager is required to establish a new branch in Port Moresby, PNG. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to take on a key leadership role in our international freight and logistics business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the new branch, recruiting and supervising a small team of nationals, and providing day-to-day operational management to ensure timely movement of cargo and branch profitability.
Key responsibilities include implementing processes that enable the team to grow in their skillsets, providing best-in-class operational outcomes, and managing a team of 3 or more people.
To be successful in this role, you will require a solid understanding of freight forwarding methodologies, including air and sea freight, break bulk, consolidations, and bespoke options.
You will also need excellent communication skills, the ability to interact at all levels, and a positive, resilient, patient, and driven personality.
Additionally, you must have proficiency with Cargowise software system and strong computer literacy.
