Duty Manager

As a Duty Manager at Hilton Sydney, you will be responsible for overseeing the front office shift operations in our iconic 587-room hotel. This involves supervising and leading a team of front office staff, assisting where required, handling guest complaints and relations, and responding to emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure standards are maintained.
- Maintain good relationships with VIPs, loyalty guests, and other stakeholders.
- Create 5-star guest experiences as measured by guest feedback.
- Review daily reports to ensure system maintenance.
- Be responsible for VIP and long-stay guests, ensuring their comfort and availability.
- Ensure the reception team works with a sales-focused attitude and identifies revenue opportunities.
- Handle relocations in a diplomatic and professional manner.
- Actively promote Hilton services and facilities to customers and guests.
- Authorise rebates and monitor occurrences to mitigate risk.
- Manage rostering levels to support business demands.
- Understand and check out guests, groups, and tours efficiently.
- Develop team members' skills and performance through coaching and training.
- Previous supervisory experience in the hotel/leisure/retail sector.
- Calm, efficient, and able to work well under pressure.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
